Krzysztof (Kris) Herman is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Modern Arnis with over 15 years of experience. Originally from Częstochowa, Poland, he moved to Cardiff in 2012 and founded Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) in Wales. His professional life as a Veterinary Surgeon has led him to Cumbria and he is now looking for training partners and students in the area. Kris is the Vice President of the FMA Organisation Filipino Arnis de Mano Poland (FADMP) who are one of the most recognised and longest running FMA organisations in Europe. He has also trained with many Masters from all over the world and is a Senior Instructor in Nickelstick Balintawak and a Black Belt in Filipino Combat System (FCS) Greece which specialises in knife attacks and women’s self-defence. Kris has built FMA in Wales into a successful organisation with clubs in Cardiff and Newport, with a good bunch of students and a core team of assistant instructors who will continue to build the club under his oversight. Kris is now looking to grow Filipino Martial Arts in Cumbria and Lancashire and is looking for keen training partners in the area.
