Welcome to Musashi Karate
We are a traditional karate club based in the south west of Scotland. We are a forward thinking club and focus on practical applied karate.
From White belt to Black belt, the program at Musashi Karate has been tailored by the experienced coaching staff to ensure that each and every beginner to the club is taken through a modular training program that offers everyone the possibility of achieving the prestigious black belt, from a club where earning a black belt means something.
For the experienced martial artist whether it is karate or another system, Musashi Karate has a particular interest in practical self protection and has built the syllabus and training around that principle. This approach will inspire and broaden any existing student’s knowledge and with the open minded attitude can only enhance their current abilities.
The sincerity and seriousness of a traditional dojo is maintained in a fun, safe and relaxed training environment.

Martial Art Styles
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Musashi Karate:
Programs & Class Schedule
Monday and Wednesday 6pm - 7pm juniors (age 8 upwards), 7pm - 8:30pm adults
Our focus is on "applied Karate" as opposed to "sport" karate. Learn the art of traditional Okinawan Karate and how it can be applied as a modern day reality based self protection system.
Structured syllabus to challenge and reward students as they progress through their martial arts journey. Taught by 4th Dan Chief Instructor with over 33 years of experience in Martial Arts, a Martial Arts Illustrated Hall of Fame award winner and renowned teacher in the area.
The study of Okinawan Martial Arts can enhance life in a multitude of ways including significant emotional improvement, mental alertness and overall physical development. These will vary depending on the individual student and will evolve during the course of their martial arts education. At Musashi Karate, we offer programs that are age-appropriate and designed specifically around the changing needs of our students.
