Oaks Martial Arts
At Oaks Martial Arts we believe that Taekwon-do is a dynamic and progressive martial art and our organisation reflects this, both in our teaching style and our ethos. The chief instructors are Simon Hadlow and Alison Longhurst, both 5th degrees and World and European champions. Alison resigned as one of the England coaches in Dec '12 to set up Oaks.
Taekwon-do is a modern Korean martial art, developed by General Choi in 1955 and is based on explosive kicks and punches, which are controlled through the understanding of the Tenets of Taekwon-do: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.
We are an official ITF club and are members of the England Taekwon-do Association. Our classes are for everyone, from 3 years old upwards and our experienced and dedicated instructors teach the art though structured, focussed lessons, aimed at setting individual goals and helping you to achieve them, whatever those goals may be.
