The Shohei-Ryu Bromley Karate club was founded by Sensei Derek (Del) Charlton in 1988.

Shohei-Ryu (aka Uechi-Ryu) Karate is an authentic Okinawan martial art with roots in Chinese kempo, and is one of the 4 major Okinawan Karate styles. Shohei-Ryu is an extremely effective form of self defense which emphasises practical close range techniques.

Sensei Del has over 30 years of Karate, Boxing and Westling experience, and has run the Shohei-Ryu Bromley Karate club continually since 1998.
