ASF is run by a husband and wife partnership, Scott and Aimee Fairburn, who have a passion for Martial Arts, Self Defence and Fitness.

Aimee is the highest graded female in Jushinkai Aiki Jutsu. She received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Mayor of Felixstowe and was winner of the Suffolk Coastal Sports Personality of the Year in 2012.

Both instructors have/are:

- 3rd Dan Black Belt in Aiki Jutsu

- 1st Dan Black Belt in Goshin Jutsu

- 1st Dan black belt in Kamishin Ryu Jujutsu (Scott only)

- Full Public Liability Insurance

- Safeguarding and Protecting Children

- Edexcel BTEC Level 3 in Advanced Self Defence

- Chief Instructors with the Self Defence Federation

- Both are also qualified First Aiders and are Enhanced DBS/CRB checked.

Programs & Class Schedule

We provide:

- Martial Arts-based fitness classes on Friday nights.

- Self Defence courses (six weeks or one day for mixed groups or ladies only)
- Personal Safety (2 hour course)
- Lone Worker (2 hour course)
- Knives and Edged Weapons Awareness Programme (KEWAP) for adults and children
Bespoke courses - where we design a programme to suit your needs.

- FREE Anti Bullying Sessions

- Martial Art classes coming in late August in Shorin Ryu Karate, Goshin jutsu and Kobudo.

-Martial Art Seminar throughout the year with instructors in many different arts.
