Aikido is a very attractive, flowing and effective Japanese martial art which will help you get fit and improve your co-ordination, discipline and focus.
It is non-aggressive and non-competitive, very useful in today's world, encouraging the Aikido practitioner to defend him or herself with minimum force, which is why Aikido is widely used by police and security guards.
The school began at the Charteris Sports Centre, Kilburn, in 1987, teaching men, women and children of all ages from 12 upwards. Charles Harris, the chief instructor is a 6th Dan black-belt and has run the school since 1989.
