Brecon Aikido Club was founded in 1997. The chief instructor is Mark Lagrange, 5 dan, who started aikido in the early 1980s. The club is affiliated with the Shin Gi Tai aikido society, which is the third largest society in the UK, and is registered with the British Aikido Board.
Aikido is a traditional martial art and etiquette is observed, nevertheless the club has a friendly and informal atmosphere.

The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Brecon Aikido Club:
Sundays and Wednesdays, Subud Hall, 5:30 - 7:00
Classes are mixed juniors (10+) and adults with content pitched at a level to suit those attending on the day.
Class fees: £4.50 adults, £3.00 junior/concessions
Annual membership (inc. insurance): £18
