Striving for the best that is deep within you

The Seijutsu Dojo strives to bring out the best skills in all it's students, and to polish those skills into razor sharp ability.

The Dojo is very sincere in striving to perfect the Ninjutsu and Samurai Ryu (school) skills that the Instructors have learnt from Japan. The Teachers of Seijutsu Dojo have sacrificed alot of their time and money to perfect their martial way, anyone would be crazy not capitalise on their amazing experience and guidance.

Personally, I unfortunately live over 2 and half hours away from the Dojo and can't always make the journey, but I would say to anyone who can go, go and be part of our Dojo, it is unique and best thing you can do, for those who wish to train sincerely.

My spiritual home, and as close to Japan as you will get in the UK

I started with Bujinkan Dojo Seijitsu back in 1998. I had trained in schools all over the country, and many abroad, since I began Ninjutsu in 1988, and felt there was something missing from my training. This dojo had 'it' in spades.

The dojo prides itself on it's basics, or more specifically, the fundamentals, or core essentials of the practice. The practice can seem daunting but the rewards are magnificent.

Whether the practice be unarmed, or with one of the many weapons used in ninjutsu training, the standards required made it seem a daunting task, but the quality of instruction and the esprit de corps within the school pull you through. I call the other members of the dojo my brothers and sisters, they are my family, and my most trusted confidante.

Unlike sport martial arts, the only competition is with yourself. This means you push yourself as hard as you want to, but are always supported by the dojo. The standards are maintained regardless of age or gender, so when you achieve rank, you know you are worth it.

I cannot get to the dojo as much as I used to anymore, I run a 'sister' school or branch. But every time I return I get a warm welcome. All my 'brothers' and 'sisters' are black belts now, but they train without ego and welcome anyone of any standard into the hall, regardless of ability, as long as they are truly there to practice for the pure enjoyment of practice, and the common goal of reaching the unreachable perfection we desire.
