CMA Ryu (Combat Martial Arts School) has grown out of the Kempo Kan Ju-Jitsu club started by Renshi Dave Court back in 2002 in Manchester. Renshi Court has 40+yrs experience in Martial Arts, and has studied many systems over that time such as Contact Karate, Fung Shao Kung Fu, Wado Ryu Karate, Goshin Kai Aikido, Alicaway Combat Knife System, & JKD Concepts & Kali. Renshi Court's main systems of study has been Kempo Ju-Jitsu, Bokken & Staff, FMA and Zen Judo
Renshi Court’s aim is to provide his students with techniques that will work in real life combat or self-defence situations regardless of an opponents’ size or strength, the techniques taught tend to be simple and effective rather than flashy or complicated.
