Our Bangor/Newtownards Karate clubs were founded by Sensei David Brashaw in 1994. In conjunction with Sensei Kevin Lewis and Sensei Sam Lewis they have transformed the initial club into a quality organisation. We offer both traditional and sport karate. Our coaches are fully insured and have Access NI enhanced approval. With over 20 years experience in the martial arts and self defence profession in clubs and local schools karate is a fantastic place to start for anyone to build up their confidence and martial arts abilities.
Mizukara is an inclusive martial arts organisation and welcomes students from all walks of life. We work in conjunction with other karate clubs in Ireland, north and south, and across the UK to maximise opportunities for our students. In particular Sensei Ian Cuthbert, a Karate Sport England coach.
We have been very successful in coaching students of all ages to World and European medals. Also a superb track record developing children’s self-confidence, motor skills and physical abilities, particularly young people with minor disabilities.
