Poor teaching at Cheshire Academy of Taekwondo

Oct 30 2016 by Stuart R (Former Student with 6 Months - 1 Year Experience at this school)

Poor

No!

Teaching style is awful! short tempered with students as young as 7 if they don’t get things right which only shows how poor their teaching ability is. Paul (the owner) background is fairly dubious, no evidence of coaching Sri Lankan national team or any other evidence of his competitive background. Mark the other instructor generally very unfriendly to students and god knows how he got a black belt!

i have trained here for nearly 2years now and my confidence has built up so much from taekwondo its amazing.we have many students in our academy and everyone enjoys it, its fun and it also teaches you how to defend yourself in the streets or anywhere and builds up your strength and confidence and recently ive been getting more flexible from it and i have lost weight from this which is made me feel so much better about myself because i know i can defend myself now anywhere. i have been in one compatition so far but even thouhgh i lost i still went out the ring proud of myself and we have many other students who have fought and won competitions with great defeat and we always hold our head high win or loose. we do a range of different things in taekwondo from pumpsae to sparring to self defence and also many other features of this korean martial arts. i being a student here would totally recommend it to anyone its an amazing sports which was also apart of the 2012 olympics and teaches you alot lastly just come on down to the cheshire academy of taekwondo, join in have fun and learn taekwondo its great and i really think anyone of any age will enjoy it. :)

Cheshire Academy Taekwondo is the perfect place to study taekwondo - the best in the North West!

Every member of the club - new, young, old, high grade, low grade, is made to feel welcome. With over 6 black belts capable of instructing, a very good education is offered. Master Paul O' Brien is extremely supportive in every way - both to the students and parents, giving attention and guidance to each and every student.

The club has won many trophies and medals in both sparring and poomsae competitions and will continue to win more!

The earlier childrens class is perfect for younger children. The instructors engage the children, and often given one-to-one support. A perfect opportunity to get your children streetwise, and capable of protecting themselves from a young age, not to mention making friends!

All contents of the BTCB syllabus are covered including: sparring, poomsae, self defence etc. There is always something new to learn.

If you don't join up today, then you're seriously missing out!
