Small, friendly and enjoyable

Dentokan jujutsu is a very small club with limited mat space However the mats are in good condition and there is enough space (just). The members were very welcoming and friendly as was the sensei. The quality of the jujutsu and the instruction is very good but it does seem more focused on the more artistic techniques - not the best place to train if self defence is all you want. The first class is free and only £4 a session thereafter so not an expensive club by any means.
Most importantly I enjoyed the class I attended and am looking forward to going back again. I would recommend to anyone with an interest in traditional Japanese martial arts and a willingness to learn.
