From the moment you walk through the door of the dojo, you can immediately see the professionalism and high standards of the Academy. It is a great place to gain confidence, get fit and make new friends. It caters for all levels from a complete beginner (as I used to be) to those with lots of experience in Martial Arts. I thoroughly recommend everyone to give it a go. There is a great family atmosphere in the dojo. I have found all the students, parents and instructors so friendly and approachable and it is great for parents to get fit alongside our children. Classes are fun and we all look forward to going along each week. The instructors go out of their way to help each and every student and treat you as an individual. We leave each class with a 'buzz'!

I like training here because it's fun and good exercise. I am much more confident now than I was before. The instructors are funny, kind, helpful and really good at kickboxing. I feel thrilled when I achieve each of my belts. I am proud of my belts and of myself.

I originally enrolled my 7 year old daughter at this club to develop her self-confidence. From the second we walked in and were greeted by the chief instructor we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home and at ease. From her very first lesson, my daughter felt happy enough to stand up on her own in a room full of people and try out the moves she was learning. This was a huge moment for her as she has always been very self-conscious and shy in front of lots of people, but because of the kindly, encouraging manner of the instructor she felt instantly able to have a go. We have seen a huge change in her level of self-esteem and self confidence since joining this club. The children all have a great deal of fun and develop concentration and listening skills as well as martial arts skills.

It is also lovely to see how much they admire and respect Mr Hux and his son Dan who are such great role models to their pupils.

Another one of the positives about this club is that it is very much geared towards family participation. As a result my teenage daughter and I have also joined and have found the same level of encouragement and support.

The entire team of instructors are extremely professional, skilful and encouraging of all members at the club regardless of age, fitness and ability. It is exceptionally well-organised. To have 300 members, proves how high the standards are here.

We tried two other martial arts clubs in Swansea, but neither had anything like the level of warmth, friendliness or professionalism of this one.

I cannot recommend it highly enough nor praise the instructors enough.

Give it a go, you won't regret it.

G&K Academy must certainly be leaders in their field. When I first started at the club, i lacked confidence in my ability and I wasn't sure whether I would fit into a club that i'd heard such superb comments about.

From my first day of attending I had the warmest of welcomes. I certainly didn't need to feel concerned. I've noticed that they have unique knack of making everyone feel special. There are a number of instructors, all extremely highly skilled and patient, each having that special something, which brings that something extra to this amazing club. It is more than just a Kick Boxing Club. They have an wonderful knack of being professional and yet have a friendly family type atmosphere. There are clearly a wide range of abilities attending and I am in awe of how they deal with those who need lots of support to those who are at the top of their field. It is so clear from the popularity of the club that everyone is made to feel important.

Having been to a wide variety of clubs from Dancing, Tae Kwondo and Fencing, I am in no doubt about how priviliged I am to have such an outstanding, professional and fun club so close to home. The only regret I have, is that i hadn't found them sooner!

I can't possibly hold them in any higher regard!
