Gendai no Shinka Ju Jitsu Association
We are a member of The British Ju Jitsu Association National Governing Body which is recognised by Sport England.
Sensei Alex Kane is the senior instructor and founder of the association.
If you don't know much about us then let us begin by saying that we are a very successful association and have been running now for over 11years. We teach Ju Jitsu with a very modern approach to the art, we keep certain traditions in place but training is based around the modern day world and the encounters that pose threats to us.
Our style of Ju Jitsu is called “Gendai no Shinka” which translates to “Modern Evolution of the Gentle Art”. A name which represents our philosophy on the modern day encounters, ever changing situations and developments, evolvement of techniques to suit individual students, and an art for the modern man or women to study.
Our History:
We opened on January 15th 2007 at a Dojo in Bexleyheath with a handful of students. Since then we have grown in size and expanded into teaching juniors as well as seniors in 2009. As the club grew we needed to expand so in November 2012 we moved to the Harris Academy in Welling and evolved into the Gendai no Shinka Ju Jitsu Association.
We have trained British and International Champions winning Gold in 2013/14/15/16
We have a very high success rate of our students passing grading's and achieving their goals, both personally and competitively.

Programs & Class Schedule
We have a very unique style of Ju Jitsu for new students to get involved in. We teach not only a structured syllabus from white belt to black belt, we also teach sparring and ground fighting skills, short stick techniques, weapons kata and squad training sessions for National & International competitions with the governing body. We also encourage students to give insight from their own experiences in the real world and have an open approach to techniques and there advancement.
Having a goal when you start Ju Jitsu is the key to your success, the techniques that you will learn are all practical and you will benefit from the very first lesson. For seniors a good level of fitness is required though as warm ups and drills are strenuous, and anyone with a history injuries or ailments should think strongly before applying.
Juniors will find our style very beneficial, exciting and fun so just bring them along and see where it goes.
The first class is free so please come along and try Ju Jitsu.
