Real Karate without politics!!

This is an excellent club with very experienced instructors. The style is Shotokan-based, but there is a real emphasis on the applications of the techniques. Training consists of striking, grappling, joint-locks, chokes and strangles and escapes and is done at all ranges. Techniques are taught for speed, power-generation, and effectiveness, not about what looks prettiest against thin air.
Alongside the practical techniques, the club also teaches real-world self-protection strategies to ensure that you stay safe from harm. The club is affiliated with the British Combat Association, the country's leading non-political martial arts organisation.
I have trained in martial arts for 20-odd years with some of the best instructors in the country and this club is up there with the best.
