I'm absolutely gutted the doors have been shut to new and returning old students!

Probably the biggest mistake of my life was to leave this club and try and look for something better. I can tell you that there isn't anything that gets close to the standard of training taught at this school!

Is there anyone who can change this decision? Hopefully someone can?

I've been at the club for about 4 years now, initially recommended by one of my friends as "seriously this club is amazing, throws, locks, groundwork, holds and weapons" and he wasn't wrong.

The attitude and expertise of the Sensei is outstanding and personal, they don't just teach textbook techniques, they are all adapting to make the best use of you and your opponent.

Experienced Sensei teaching real techniques that really work. Gradings that are earned. The best jujitsu style and teaching anywhere.

Goshin Ryu Atemi is a hidden gem. They are one of the few martial arts clubs that focus on delivering a high quality of education. This isn't some club where they just give you belts because you paid for a grading. You have to earn it. What you learn here can help you defend yourself from attackers in the real world.

If you want to study a totally relevant martial art, then I'd be surprised if there were many that were better or more appropriate than this one. It instills in you an increased confidence, which benefits you in your everyday life.

What a great martial art and a excellent place to learn .

I looked at many different arts and clubs before joining this one . I stumbled across this club whilst leaving a class at another club . From that moment I new I had found something special, i was hooked right from the start .

Not only are you training / learning something worthwhile but it's done in a enjoyable environment . This is a great club with a well balanced approach to teaching a realistic self defence system . I couldn't recommend this club highly enough .

There is no doubt this is one of the best Martial Arts clubs in the country. From beginners to experienced students there is something to be learnt by everyone. The club is friendly and very acomadating but trains hard to give you the confidence and fitness that is needed to be your best. I wouldn't go anywhere else and have been very happy from day one.

I've been a student at this club for the last three years and what an eye opener it has been, my only regret is not having found it sooner. Each of the sensei's brings something different to the table and the style taught includes throws, striking, grappling, chokes, hold downs & locks.

Come and give it a try you won't be disappointed.

I've been a student of the club for just over a year and really can't fault it! Taught by a Sensai who isn't afraid to get involved and adapt teaching methods when required. The techniques are useful and practical and personally have been used on more than one occasion, proving their worth.

I would recommend at least coming to view a session in progress if you're unsure about joining in, but the group is friendly and accommodating for all experiences.
