Gracie Barra Tamworth was created in 2008 by the late Steve Fan and is the only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club in Tamworth. The club welcomes all levels from beginners to the more advanced. Gracie Barra Tamworth is now run and instructed by Dave Iverson.
Dave is a black belt under Birmingham based black belt Braulio Estima (2009 ADCC absolute champion). He has spent the last seven years training at Gracie Barra Birmingham, which is one of the top institutes for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the world. He is now the only certified and IBJJF Ranked BJJ black belt in Tamworth.
Dave recently showed the calibre of his fighting skills by winning gold in both the Rome Open and Lisbon Open. He is also a British Champion at Brown belt.
Gracie Barra Tamworth has been privileged by having top class fighters/instructors at the cutting edge of the sport coming down and giving one off seminars. Some off these include:

Although Gracie Barra Tamworth is still in its early years it is already making noticeable progress. Many of our members from junior to senior have been competing up and down the country in various Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions.
The club has exceeded all expectations and has brought back a hoard of silverware. This is a testament to the hard work that has been put in down the club over the last few years.
