Been practicing Muay Thai for a number of years but wanted to learn a martial art which has a complete system and doesn't rely only on striking. I only wish I started earlier and not in my 40's. An excellent place to train with professional instruction, nice people and a great vibe.

The club is disciplined, well equipped and professionaly run.

This is a school of excellence facility.

The instructors and coaches adapt themselves very well to suit all levels of skill and all age groups.

We have taken on a family membership. My wife does the kickboxing, and my boys and myself do the ju jitsu.

Unlike a lot of other BJJ facilities Ross and his team also incorporate a high level of self defence in the classes using realistic scenarios and situations.

My son and I have been training here for nearly a year now and I cannot recommend the place enough. The quality of instruction from Ross, Fernao and Andrew in particular makes every session a great learning experience. I have trained at other martial centres before but none have matched the friendly atmosphere in RGL where anyone is welcome and encouraged to become their best.

Excellent place to train, people are amazing, everyone is willing to help you improve in your journey. From the the kids classes to the adults classes all abilities catered for. I highly recommend this club, for yourself or your family. It is not just a club it is an extension of your family. There are multiple classes on everyday, and always the option of private lessons. It is never too late to start, at any fitness level.

Fantastic instructors, fantastic people who train and just an all-round phenomenal place to be. If you're thinking of starting BJJ and are in the area this is the place to go bar none. Only last week we had a visit from Royce Gracie himself to give a seminar, an unbelievable experience and something you don't get at other gyms in the area.

I have been training now at this for nearly 6 years. It has never stopped being a fun place to train and the level of ability that is produced is excellent.

I was fortunate enough to visit Ross' gym twice in the past year and came away extremely impressed each time. I've trained with some the biggest names and at some of the top schools in the world and Royce Gracie Lancashire ranks at the very top. The facility is clean, organized and huge.

But, what really separates this school from many others is the level of instruction. Ross is able, unlike many these days, to teach the Complete art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and with a level of detail that is rare in my experience (Ive even stolen some things from him that I teach at my own academy now).

He's extremely engaging and the environment at his school was very fun and inviting. Even in the short time I was there, I made some good friends.

If you're looking for authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu from a top instructor and a professional yet fun atmosphere, this is the only place you should be going.

Self defence, keep fit, it's not just that it's a mind body and soul change . People are so friendly and helpful. We have been going as a family for two years, it has also taught us self confidence and self worth. We are still learning. We wouldn't go anywhere else. It is a home from home. The techniques we are learning can be used for sport also, so no matter what you are looking for it will fit in to what you want. All ages and capabilities are welcomed warmly. Awesome place and an awesome family.

RGL has changed not only mine, but my 2 kids lives around completely. We have been attending RGL for 18 months now and have not looked back. Starting Brazillian Jiu Jitsu here was the best decision I could of ever made for both the kids and myself and we have all been made to feel so welcome from day one stepping through the door. We are learning a structured self defence program and martial art from fantastic local and world wide instructors. We have developed our skills as a family and will long continue to do so. I highly recommend for anyone of any level or ability to come along, have a go and be part of an amazing team.

I joined RGJL almost three years ago. I've loved every minute of it. Jiujitsu the way the Gracie family intended it to be taught. I've made lots of friends, I've gained self confidence and confidence I could defend myself in most cases if required to do so. I've also won regional tournaments at white belt and blue belt level and have met and trained with some of idols through the club too. All in all, it the best decision I've ever made.
