The impact sensei Blewitt has had on my son has been remarkable, he trains in martial arts 6 days out of 7 and has a real passion for his sport. Kevin treats all the students equally no matter what there ability and has a natural gift as a teacher. The club has a lovely atmosphere and my son has made some real good friends there.

My son has attended this club for approximately three years. He thoroughly enjoys it. The progress he has made and the confidence he has developed over this time astounds me and it's all thanks to the instructor. The club is attended by many students and has the full support of the parents, it has excellent equipment and facilities. I would highly recommend it.
My son started Karate training at Grindon about three years ago. I was immediately impressed with the amount of equipment available and especially with the quality of instruction. There is a strong emphasis on correct technique for all aspects of karate - technical disciplines, combinations, kata and sparring. The correct way to perform a technique is always illustrated by a physical demonstration to show how to do it (and how not to do it). Each student is allowed to develop at their own pace. There is also a strong emphasis on etiquette, fitness and flexibility. It is also a very friendly dojo - both my son and I feel very welcome.
