Hakuho UK - UK dojos teaching authentic Daito Ryu Aiki-Jujutsu and Itto Ryu Kenjutsu. Hakuho UK is the English branch of the Hakuho Ryu, an international school dedicated to the study of classical (Koryu) Japanese fighting arts. The school's curriculum is founded on the teachings of Okabayashi Shogen Sensei, who has dedicated his life to the study and dissemination of Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu and Ono Ha Itto Ryu Kenjutsu.
Sensei Quentin Ball commenced his martial arts training in 1980. Ten years later, after becoming disillusioned with the authenticity of his chosen art, he packed his bags & headed for Japan. It was during the four years in Japan that he was introduced to Okabayashi Sensei & the Daito Ryu. He has never looked back! Sensei Quentin has taught professionally since 1994 and was appointed the UK representative of Hakuho in 1996. Sensei Quentin has made numerous trips to Japan to advance his studies.
Sensei Lindsay Comens has been fascinated with the Japanese fighting arts of the Samurai since a young age and over the years studied Karate, Ninpo, Aikido & modern Jujitsu. 20 years ago Sensei Lindsay met and became a student of Sensei Quentin Ball and since then has trained with Sensei Quentin in Daito Ryu, Ono Ha Itto Ryu, Enshin Ryu & Tenshin Hyoho Soden Kukamishin Ryu.
