Welcome to HARBOROUGH SHOTOKAN KARATE CLUB, the first JKA Karate Club in Leicestershire.
Karate is more than just a sport, it’s a martial art. Going to the gym will keep you fit but won’t teach you a skill. Karate will both keep you fit and teach you self defence (and much more).
Shotokan is a karate style. This is by far the most widespread karate style, about 80% of karatekas (karate practitioners) train in Shotokan. We represent the Japan Karate Association (JKA) in the Midlands. The JKA is the oldest shotokan karate organisation and is also the biggest karate organisation in the World. Our instructor has Japanese qualifications and teaches traditional karate the Japanese way.
