Herts KDS - Karate-do Shotokai
The club practices KDS (Karate-do Shotokai) a style with roots in traditional Shotokan as founded by the late Sensei Master Harada Mitsusuke MBE.
Club Instructors are volunteers and the KDS are a not for profit association.
Philippe Halsall 2nd Dan & Richard Plaskow 1st Dan
Both ran the University of Hertfordshire KDS club for many years and both are qualified instructors, 1st aid certified and DBS checked.

Martial Art Styles
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Herts KDS - Karate-do Shotokai:
- Shotokan Karate
- Practioners of KDS also train with Bokken
- Bo & Shinai to develop their karate.
Programs & Class Schedule
The club accepts adults 17+ and trains at the Great Ashby Community Centre SG1 6NH.
Beginners and experienced karateka should get in touch and are welcome to come train.
Tuesday nights
19:30 ~21:30
We have a sister club in Tyttenhanger AL4 0RN which trains on a Wednesday night.
