Reviews of Ilyokwan Black Belt Academy

I have been training with Master Olpin and the Ilyokwan team since 2014. I was made to feel extremely welcome by everyone at the academy and have found it a friendly, supportive atmosphere in which to develop as a martial artist.

Master Olpin combines traditional Tae Kwon-Do with components of other martial arts and his own vast wealth of life experience to make martial arts fun, interesting and relevant to the real world, making training even more rewarding!

I Can't recommend Ilyokwan Black Belt Academy enough. I first sent my Son to the little ninjas class when he was 5 years old. 5 years on and he still loves it. he now has boundless confidence and great skills that show in all aspects of his life. My daughter saw how much fun it is and joined at the age of 5 as well. Being inspired by sitting in the back watching my children it seemed only fair that I should be getting some of this so I also joined the adult classes . I have found my fitness and confidence grow more than I ever thought.

I can't recommend the Ilyokwan Black Belt Academy highly enough. My two boys have been training since they were 5 years old and watching their confidence grow has been amazing! And as an adult member myself I can say that Master Olpin's professionally run classes are always interesting, challenging and great fun!

My daughter is 7 and attends Black belt academy and she really enjoys it so much, Its a very warm and welcoming place to be.

I would highly recommend coming along even if it's just to watch, i guarantee you would want to join.

A great martial arts school led by master Olpin who manages to mix teaching martial arts and self defence techniques with valuable life skills and still keep it fun for the kids (and adults!). - highly recommended.

My son has dyspraxia which means he had poor core

strength & coordination . He started training when he was 7 now he is

13 a first dan black belt and his core strength has improved

dramatically. This has also improved his fine motor skill

and helped improve his hand writing too.

Master Olpin is always willing to help and great with the students

A martial arts academy where there's a place for everyone however big, small, fat, thin, fit or unfit.

Master Olpin understands that everyone had their own abilities and respects what any individual is capable of and could achieve if they desire.

He is especially good with the kids who look up to him and his assistants as they don't just drill them they make if fun for the kids as well.

My eldest son Robbie has been training at the academy since he was 5 1/2 in 2005 and is now a second degree black belt and regularly assists with the instructing.

I would like to personally thank Master Olpin with his continued support with Robbie especially what he had to deal with on a personal level.
