JKA Shieldhill Dojo
The Shieldhill Dojo offers Traditional JKA Shotokan Karate to all ages. There is a specific class aimed a children giving them a fun and safe way to start on their karate learning.
The all grades class offers a great mix of karate for all, including fitness work and pad work.
Class instructor is Steven Weir - 4th Dan JKA
We are part of JKA World Federation Scotland and also have an alliance with JKA Afro-Eurasia Kawasoe Group.
We offer 3 gradings per year for the Tiger Cubs and 4 gradings for all other grades. The gradings also incorporate a course with top Japanese instructor Kawasoe Sensei 7th Dan JKA.
We also offer students the chance to take part in monthly squad training sessions that are not just aimed at people wishing to be part of the national squad that takes part in national and international competitions plus the chance to take part in national competitions that are held by the Scottish Karate Governing Body.
