Sensei Holt really runs an excellent Dojo in Chobham and it is aimed at all levels of experience from mums and dads with kids through to experienced karate practitioners who want to step it up. Newcomers are looked after really well and receive one to one help in the initial stages from some of the black belts. Would recommend this dojo to anyone who would like to try.
The karate taught is hard / no nonsense traditional karate. Excellent.

A broad spectrum of age groups train here with an additional half-hour tagged on to each class for higher grades at the end of class (kumite etc....). This is a solid traditional style of karate taught by competent instructors who clearly plan their classes. The instructors go the 'extra mile' to ensure each student gains something extra from each class. The school, seiki-juku, is a well known school based at various locations in London and the surrounding counties. The style has a strong kyokushin base. The school is run by the very well regarded Shihan Frank T. Perry, 8th Dan, who has an extensive martial arts background, having trained with some of the best Japanese Masters from days gone by. Give these classes a go - you will not regret it!
I am an MMA practitioner and have trained over many years at different karate dojos and kickboxing clubs with a view to sparring and generally training with as many different practitioners as possible. I started my training in Kyokushin karate and traind some years ago at the Busen Martial Arts School in Twickenham where Sensei F.T. Perry ran advanced classes, welcoming me and other students from a local kyokushin club. His students were tough, solid and knew what they were doing, having been taught by one of the country's top martial artists. Sensei Holt was one of those students in the early days and living close to Woking, I thought I would give his classes a go. An absolute breath of fresh air to find a competent instructor not just pretending to know what he is doing. The classes and instruction are first rate and Sensei's kick boxing knowledge also brings and added depth which can only help with student's kumite. I look forward to training with him regularly.
