My son joined the club as an 11 yr old in Sept 2018. Of all the activities he has tried this is by far the best. The Senseis are inspiring and real role models. They have extremely high expectations and because of that their students give of their best. They know every single child instantly and the students are welcomed as part of the Kaizen do family. My son said he gives the club the full 5 stars 🌟 and I totally agree.

My little boy had been asking to do karate for a while when I saw an advert for Kaizen-do. I took him for his first lesson and was so impressed that I joined myself too. It is the best hobby I have ever taken up. We have been going for 3&1/2 years now and are taking our black belt very soon. I started taking my daughter as soon as she was old enough too and she had also taken too it very well.

The club has a great atmosphere and I have made lots of good friends in my time there. Sensei Dervish really knows how to tailor the lessons for people of all abilities and the other sensei's are always happy to help and offer advice too. There are many extra activities on offer from, board braking classes, self defence classes, boot camp, birthday parties, weapon seminars, contrition squad training and much much more. Sensei Dervish is always looking for ways to make his club stand out from other clubs and do different things for the students.

This is a club which puts the students happiness and wellbeing before anything else. If you are thinking of taking up this great sport then Kaizen-do can definitely help you with whatever it is that you want to achieve!

My son has been attending kaizendo karate for over 14 months and has progressed to purple belt two stripe.Sensei Dervish and his team are excellent communicators to all students but the way he makes the younger element feel is a sight to behold. They have so much fun while learning important lessons that will stand them in good stead in later life.I have certainly seen a change in my son since he has been attending ,not only in his karate classes but also in his school work.I would certainly recommend this martial arts club to anyone.

My two sons have been attending Kaizen-Do for over 12 months now and have progressed very well. They started in the Little Ninjas and have now moved on to the 'normal' curriculum. The Little Ninjas was the perfect fun environment to be introduced to the sport.

Since progressing, my eldest son (six) has now moved on to the senior grades (currently blue belt) due to the effective coaching style employed by Sensei Dervish and the rest of the Senseis. My youngest son (four) is benefitting greatly from the concentration required in the lessonos.

Both boys love their karate lessons - we are there most days of the week - the fact that their is a fun element pleases me too, along with the 'discipline' element.

I'm always impressed by the way students are very keen to help each other, something which is inherent in the training style at Kaizen-Do.

My wife has recently taken up learning as well, as she has been so impressed with what she has seen and what the boys get out of their lessons.

All in all, a fantastic place to learn karate!

my son and daughter both attend kaizen do a excellent, friendly well run club. They are 9 and 5 and have been attending for nearly a year now and both love it and practice constantly at home, always wanting to learn new skills. Thanks to the great coaching from sensei dervish and his team they have both grown in confidence and cant wait to get there. My daughter has bad asthma but thanks to the training her fitness is improving every day. What I also like is how the higher grades are always willing to help the others which my 2 have found invaluable

I have been a member of Kaizen-Do Karate for nearly 2 years. I was prompted to join, mainly to spend more time with my husband and children who were already established members.

I am astounded by the confidence levels that Karate has given both me and my children which has been demonstrated in both School life and social activities.

Kaizen-Do advertises as a "Family Friendly Academy"and quite rightly so.The training environment is both friendly and welcoming, never intimidating ,with the highest quality tuition.

I would consider my experience here as positively life changing and would encourage anybody to come and try it for themselves.

Both my sons now aged 6 and 4 started in Little Ninjas over a year ago, Little Ninjas is an excellent class for little ones to start to learn karate in a controlled fun environment with other kids the same age. Both my boys have moved to junior dragons where they have really come on as would look to the older kids and want to be like that. All the Senseis are excellent and make classes fun but don't stand for any nonsense. Also have to say that the older children are very good at helping out the younger ones and give pointers on how to improve their karate. My boys really love going to Kaizen Do and we now go to pretty much all the classes which really don't mind as they get a lot out of it, karate, new friends, life values and discipline. Would definitely recommend Kaizen Do as a good place to learn karate.

I have been studying at Kaizen-do karate for nearly a year now. In that time I have learnt much about myself, I have gaind confidence and my fitness and general well being has improved dramatically. Sensei dervish and his team of instructors are amazing, they seem to have all the time in the world to help you become the best you can be and have an amazing ability in teaching not just karate but good manners. The accadamy is very family orientated some nights I train with my sister and nephew and know that a lot of mums and dads join in with there children making it a brilliant atmosphere to learn in. I would not hesitate to recommend Kaizen-do to friends and family, if your looking to learn the art of karate and keep fit then this is the place to go!

Both my daughter and son (ages 6-9) have loved learning karate. Iits boosted their connfidence and self esteem and they have made so many friends young and old alike. Its like being part of an extended family. The club itself is accomadating and very helpful should you have any problems or queries. Well worth a free trial to see if its a sport-hobbby for you. :)

Having watched my son develop his skills for the first 3 months I decided to try karate again having not done so in over 20 years. My teenage daughter then decided to join and we now attend 3 quality lessons per week.

With a great team of instructors lead by Sensei Dervish and ably assisted by Sensei Havenhand,Lees and Dowman.

This really is a friendly and family orientated club and I would urge anyone to give it a go.
