Excellent Wing Chun Kung Fu That Works

Having trained at a variety of schools in and around the Chichester area, I soon realised how good Kamon is. Not only does it cover the complete Wing Chun Kung Fu system, but it incorporates a lot of other styles such as boxing, kickboxing and grappling.

To be clear, this isn't really MMA - the Wing Chun gives you a core system in which to make the boxing and grappling more powerful and efficient.

It is not a sport, but an effective fighting system. Techniques are pressure tested, meaning that if it doesn't work, we don't use it.

There is sparring (my favourite), which is not about hurting your opponent, but getting in clean, effective strikes.

All students are looked after, but pushed. The instructor really has a grasp of people's individual abilities and ensures that they are enhancing attributes they have.

I really would recommend you come down and have a look. The first class is completely free, and then its just £6 a time (I think students get a discount)

I've been training at Kamon a few weeks now, and I'm loving it! I've never tried martial arts before and was really nervous but the instructor Steve was lovely.

Wing Chun is a great art - I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up. My first week was going through the basics at a pace comfortable to me. The next thing I know I'm doing things I never knew I could!

There was also sparring, which I was nervous at, but it's done in a really cool way to ensure no one gets hurt.

I really recommend this school to anyone new and nervous.

Fantastic!
