Having trained with a variety of different clubs in the area, including the awful Tao Dragons and watered down kickboxing of Matt Fiddes schools, I happened upon Kamon Martial Arts.
I was welcomed and made to feel like an adult, rather than be shouted and screamed at for doing the wrong technique etc.
The instructor was patient and spoke to me personally.
I couldn't believe how cheap/affordable the classes were. At some of the other schools Id trained at, there were joining fees, and hidden costs.
There was none of that with Kamon - just paid each time I trained, with no tie-ins.
The training is the best form of self defence I have encountered. It is Wing Chun kung Fu, but also expands into boxing, kickboxing and more.
I cant say enough how good this class was, and would encourage others to try it out - you have nothing to lose
