A really friendly group, welcomed me and made me feel part of the group immediately. The two instructors are very patient and helpful. I've practiced with them for several years and am progressing through the grades - have never failed an exam!

As a beginner this club is great. The teaching is mostly split up with a high grade woman teacher taking the beginners. She is excellent, has a lot of patience and you learn a lot. The rest of the class is taken by the male teacher. My experience and suggestion, as a woman, would be not to train with and be careful of him. The dojo is part of Sensei Ian McClarences dojo which is well worth going to for training with more students and extremely experienced high grades. I would recommend going to the beginners class and attending Sensei McClarences session (which the club encourages).
