We are a Non-Polictical Martial Arts Group who practice the Japanese Sword Arts& Okinawan Kobudo based in Inverness. We study the ZNKR Seitei Katas and Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu style of Iaido at our Kingsmills Kensei Kai Dojo along with Okinawan Kobudo Weapons including, Bo, Jo, Tonfa, Kama, Suruchin, Sai, Tekko, Tambo, Techu, Tinbe & Rochin plus others. We also study drills originating from Filipino and Malaysian Martial Art Systems.
While classes are lead by Sensei Alan Mitchell, we attend courses with Sensei Okimitsu Fujii and Sensei Brian Ford on a regular basis. Grading are taken at the Go-Ri-Ho-Chi-Shin Kensei Kai Dojo in Sunderland with Sensei Okimitsu Fujii and Sensei Brian Ford as Grading Panel Members.
Competitions are also held regularly and some of our members have Placed in the Kensei Kai - North East England and Scottish Iaido Competition with Sensei Fujii as a judge. Iaido forms the basis of our classes however we do focus on the other Weapons as part of our training.
