The London Amateur Boxing Association
The London Amateur Boxing Association was formed in 1949 and is made up of four divisions. These being North West, North East, South West and South East. The Hon. Secretary for the association is Keith Walters OBE who was the Chairman of the Amateur Boxing Association of England. The current President is Dave McCann who has served many years the association and North East Division. Ron Philipson is the Registrar and has many years experience. The association is the most successful for producing gold medals.
We broke away from the National Governing body in 2016 to form our own boxing association .
We are not with the National Governing body and we’re not a national governing body but we do have insurance.

The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at London ABA Alliance:
- Boxing
- Lots of kickboxing and MMA clubs have joined the alliance as the national governing body would not normal except these clubs
- we except any club.

While we may not be a recognised national governing body like England Boxing, we offer a unique and thrilling experience for both coaches and boxers.
At the boxing alliance, we have a dedicated squad that competes against clubs in Spain, providing an international flavor to our events. Although we currently have around 100 clubs across the UK, we are growing steadily, offering monthly shows that are sure to keep you entertained.
One of the highlights of being a part of the boxing alliance is our national titles. Unlike the multiple stages required by England Boxing, our format allows each participant to go straight into a final, providing a fantastic opportunity for our clubs to showcase their talents.
So, whether you're a coach looking for a refreshing change or a boxer eager to compete in a unique setting, the boxing alliance is the place for you. Join us on this thrilling journey and be a part of our vibrant community!
