I used to take Qigong class before I joined Yuka's Tai chi class.
However, when I met Yuka and she demonstrated her patient approach to teaching, including ensuring that grounding was appreciated, I was determined to take her class.
Her understanding of "energy", which she shares through a very helpful Chi Kung warm up, makes her Tai chi class quite special.
I am very happy to have opportunity to learn Tai chi from Yuka and highly recommend her class regardless ones level.

I was not a good student but Yuka never gave up on me, she was always there for me to answer even the most dumbist of questions with patience and compassion. Previously I have had many teachers but the way she teaches, in line with Master Dings approach, is one of the best I have come across and really deepened my understanding, with a lot of hands on contact. Unfortunately because of work I have had to move away from her class, but if circumstances were to change I would be back there like a shot

I have been Yuka Donovan's student at MDA Chelsea Tai Chi Class since last summer. Yuka is a wonderful, personable teacher, professional, committed, patient, attentive to every student individually. It's been a pleasure to attend Yuka's classes. I am an elderly person and yet feel in excellent shape after each class, followed by a very good night's sleep. I highly recommend Yuka's classes.

Yuka leads this group with great professionalism and instills confidence.
These classes are very enjoyable and meet all my expectations. With skilled and detailed instruction, Yuka also incorporates focused group activities each week, which are both valuable and fun and also shares invaluable tuition videos for members. Yuka skillfully manages to guide all of us, despite member’s varying levels of experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this group to anyone wishing to take up or resume Tai Chi. ..........
I have been looking for a Tai Chi teacher like yuka, who can explain meaning of the movement, how energy flows, how to pay attention and why etc. while moving.
I can feel her enthusiasm and love towards Tai Chi when she shows us movement, checking of our movement, telling the story behind it with her eyes shining, it's inspiring.
She is very knowledgeable and still continues learning from her great master.
I can highly recommend her class.
