Amazing Martial Arts For Everyone

Whether you want to come back to martial arts after a long break (like myself), want to find a hobby/healthy activity (like my kids) or just looking for a new interesting challenge (like my fiancé), then get your trackies on and come train with us :)

I previously did Taekwon-do as a teenager and have come back at age 33. I attempted to join numerous other martial arts over the years and found none could compare with the knowledge, experience, passion and enthusiasm of Master Sutherland and her staff.

I love how there is such a mixed range of ages in the adults classes with a fair few in our 30's and 40's teaching the youngsters how it’s really done!. There is also a good mix of males and females in the classes, especially in the adult Kickboxing and we girls certainly keep the boys on their toes! My little boy (age 6) loves his ninja class and my wee girl (age 8) is so proud that she’s now completed the ninja program and progressed into the Kicking Kids. My fiancé also decided to join us last year and it's given all of us a real new zest for life and we have benefited from the pleasant side effect of weight loss. As a family we have all gained so much from participating in TKD and Kickboxing that I can’t recommend it highly enough to everyone.

I started training at MSBA 2 1/2 years ago and I would recommend everyone who is thinking about joining to just go for it!! The instructors at MSBA are all excellent and give a lot of time and effort to all pupils to help them reach their potential and goals. I am glad I decided to start Tae-Kwon Do and kickboxing as I have gained martial arts skills and also met friends through training. It is a very friendly and positive environment to train within which makes it easy to fit in to, as everyone is very welcoming and everyone is always willing to help. I just can't wait to get back to full training again :-)

MSBA is a great place to study and learn Tae Kwon-do and Korean Kick Boxing. There are classes to suit all ages and abilities with a great family atmosphere with a number of kids and parents training at the club.

The Instructors are excellent at helping support and encourage all the students to reach their potential and from a personal perspective have recently helped me attain my 1st Degree.

My son Logan started TaeKwon-do when he was 5 progressing through little ninjas, kicking kids and now training in the junior class as a green belt! The instructors have done a fantastic job in training Logan and all the kids to gain confidence, focus, respect and discipline in martial arts. The classes are stuctured for the kids to enjoy TaeKwon-do and have fun excercising while gaining recognition through gradings and competitions to prepare them for the journey to black belt! After watching Logan I took the plunge and joined as well and haven't looked back since, TaeKwon-do has given me fitness I haven't had for a long time not to mention weight loss and meeting new friends! Overall a very well organised club with over 35 years of experience in TaeKwon-do. The club promotes a welcoming environment and arranges social activities for kids which is great for them to meet new friends. Highly recommended for the novice through to experienced student with classes to suit everyone from all ages.

Connor has been attending Tae Kwan Do since the age of 5 and has grown from a shy and quiet wee boy to a confident and well disciplined lad who always looks forward to his training twice a week. The staff are friendly , helpful and there is a real community spirit at the club with support for both young and old.

I would recommend Master Sutherlands to everyone and would like to thank them for what they have done and continue to do for my son in his journey towards his black belt and beyond.

Fantastic way for kids to exercise whilst having fun!

My son Aaron, Age 6 and daughter Katie Age 7, have attended MSBA Livingston for the last year, both adore it.

My son started in the Little Ninja classes which are tailored to suit the younger child by including fun activities whilst exercising, so much so, I don't think Aaron knew that is what he was doing. He went to gradings to achieve higher belts which I believe built up his confidence in social activities. He has since advanced to the Kicking Kids class joining his sister Katie, both love the class and are learning patterns and also are beginning to enjoy sparring. Katie has been in a couple of competitions and won some medals along the way. Both are continuing to achieve higher belts by attending gradings which gives them goals to reach. Also they have made some great friends in their classes too.

The teachers are fabulous with the kids keeping them motivated and enthusiastic, I can't recommend these classes enough!

An enjoyable place for the whole family to be involved in.

A friend introduced us to MSBA a couple of years ago, not only for ourselves, but the whole family to be involved. At first our daughter started the Little Ninja's program, then my wife got involved in Korean Kickboxing. I reluctently went along, but i have to say, it is one of the best decisions i have made.

My daughter is now in the Kicking Kids program, and heading towards Junior TKD. Myself, Wife and Son all do Kickboxing, and my other daughter has recently started the Little Ninja program. We all love doing Martial arts, and everyone you meet is very welcoming. The instuctors work you hard, but are fair, and great especially with the children.

There are several competions throughout the year, to test yourself in, and Gradings, to allow you to progress. As a shift worker i thought i might "fall behind", but everybody is different, so you go at your own pace.

In general, it's a challenging and fun place to be :-)

A great gym with lots of heavy bags, focus mitts, kickshields and rings.

I've studied korean kickboxing for just under 18 months now, and my fitness has improved as well as my martial skills.

Everyone is exceptionally friendly, and are always happy to help with your training, especially the instructors

Simply Outstanding!

I trained previously with another club before coming to MSBA with my daughter Lucy, and frankly there's no comparison.

The MSBA Instructors are a great team to train with, always pushing you onwards but only at a pace each individual can maintain...and everyone's treated as an individual. With previous World Champions having trained with Master Sutherland - you can't go far wrong!

Since joining last July I've made many new friends, lost a stone, got fitter, feel more confident, learned some great Tae Kwon Do and expect to successfully grade for Green belt at the end of the month. My Daughter has also been training hard and her enthusiasm for training is growing week on week.

If you fancy TKD or Kick Boxing - MSBA should not be overlooked.

I have been attending MSBA Livingston for over a year now, training in TKD.

Before i started training i had very little experience of martial arts.

Since joining i have both grown in confidence and self esteem and have recently achieved my green belt in TKD.

From day one at the gym i found the instructors to be very welcoming and encouraging and ever since have motivated me to achieve and reach my potential.

I find the classes also offer opportunities to mix with people of all ages and backgrounds and the ethos of the gym promotes inclusion.

Today i feel fitter, stronger and more confident and motivated to achieve more in TKD.

I would reccomend MSBA Livingston to anyone regardless of age or initial fitness level.

My experience has shown me that anyone who is motivated and works hard can achieve in TKD.
