Merthyr Tydfil Junior Wado-Kai Karate

Well established and successful club specialising in tuition for children & young people between ages of 4 years and 21 years, offering an extensive structure of classes. The style of Karate practised is Wado.

Classes are split by grades in order to focus tuition at the appropriate level, as well as by age. New starters age 6-13 years train on Mondays and Fridays at 5.30 pm, while 4 & 5 years train Sundays.

Classes for ‘little tigers’, juniors, youth, intermediate grades, high grades, a fight class, and also youth (14-21yrs).

Majority of classes are conducted at Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre.

The club is headed by Ashley Evans 6th Dan, assisted by his team of experienced and qualified instructors. The club is a member of the Wado-Kai Karate Union (WKKU) which is affiliated to the Welsh Karate Governing Body.

6.30pm - Junior Brown & Black belts

All instructors have Enhanced DBS checks, are 1st aid trained, and have Safeguarding Children certificates.
