Part 2
If you think there is a clique within the club you are right. A collection of likeminded individuals who share the same values and beliefs with regards to the ongoing development of our children. The Instructors have their group, children have their group and mums and dads have their groups. The paths of these groups cross in many ways yet. The instructors apply coaching styles with positive intention for the development of the sport and the dynamics of the club.
Each child is different in many ways but, the teachings of Taekwondo are not. Reasonable adjustment will always be made to allow all the children to progress.
As parents we believe in a set of intrinsic personal values and bestow these on our children with their development however. When our children join the club, we are actually handing them over to a group (clique) of instructors who will instil a sense of belonging to something greater, which will take them a lifetime to develop. The tenets of Taekwondo are based on a set of values and a beliefs which, if followed will allow our children to grow and develop with their peers of all ages and grades with mutual respect. Honesty and integrity are some of the greatest values we can instil in our children. If we have nothing good to say about a person or a subject, should we really say anything at all?
The instructors will always strive to give critique or give feedback to our children; this is followed with a positive intention and re-enforcement for future development. As parents we can help by following the advice given by the subject matter experts, if you give the child advice from your own personal experience this has a tendency to clash and can at times create confusion.
If you want to really make a difference in your child’s life, help them on this journey and please look internally before making comments which are unfounded or contain no substance.

Review of The Mount Taekwondo Club - Amazing

As a martial artist of 40+ years and a parent of a child who is a current student of The Mount Taekwondo club. I can honestly say the following. Each child who attends the club is given the same foundations and resources to excel in the amount of time befitting the student and grade. Our young children are blank canvases in that; they have not been polluted by the outside world of influence but, only by us as parents and teaching right from wrong.
As a student at the club and a parent, I know each and every student and parent. I see the students’ progress on a journey of development towards something better. Parents begin to see many changes in their children because of the instruction each child receives as a collective and one to one teachings. Collective tuition is a form of unity and team work which is common within the club. Instructors focus on the patterns or form of the traditional style and allow the group to follow specific patterns, one move at a time or, by freedom of movement in the students own time. On some occasions a student may be coached one to one at the back of the class to fine tune and hone additions skills or remove unwanted errors in technique.
All martial arts have periods of transition, as the master grades hand over to senior instructors on the same pathway that has been generated over 2300 years or so. The key thing for parents is patience. This in its self is a key component of Taekwondo that our children learn. We cannot expect our children to be the best over night or within a short space of time. It takes time to master the theory and practice of any skill to be proficient.
The instructors who devote, not “give up” they own time to develop our children at the club are outstanding and above reproach. Each instructor has been assessed and verified by Master grades and external sources. Without the later, the club instructors would not be able to produce such exemplary results with all students.

I would like to say that the person who's written the negative status is a very vindictive individual and i can state this because I've spoken to them. And i can assure all members of the the MOUNT your club will be better now the family's in question have gone to upset some other club. I honestly believe that your club will grow. WHY BECAUSE YOU HAVE GOT 3 ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT INSTRUCTORS RUNNING IT. Having spoken with the person who's written the negative status i found them to be very petty and totally ignorant and very disrespectful toward people who are in AUTHORITY. I have watched as my son nervously took his first lesson at this club, and how the instructors guided and mentored him from belt to belt. The instructors really care about each and every student, and have a truly vested interest in their progression. This club has really struck the balance between maintaining discipline and keeping it fun so the children remain keen and interested.
Unfortunately some parents believe that they know better than the instructors, and leave very unfair feedback on sites like this when they don't get their own way. Try the club for yourself and make up your own mind. You won't be disappointed.

After completing a year at the club I felt it necessary to submit another review. There has been a couple of changes mainly of premises and one new instructor. My children have thrived at the club under all the instructors and I have found everyone in charge to be most fair, encouraging, supportive and inclusive to all people involved, regardless of ability and skill. Their dedication to the club as a whole team is inspirational and long may it continue.

Very clicky club, you have to be "in" with the crowd

If you're not "in with crowd" don't expect much. You won't progress very far and you'll feel like an outsider. Some of the parents at the club are very clicky. The instructors also tend to favour certain students over others.

I don't think it's right that club helpers are asking us to write positive reviews on here. Please don't ignore the bad review, there are some bad attitudes at the club especially if your not in the in crowd.

This club is second to none. After a change of leadership, this is a club that is going places, without losing the personal touch. The instructors are extremely helpful and knowledgeable on all aspects of the sport. All the kids and adults who take part enjoy every session and there is an excellent balance between the traditional discipline of the sport and FUN. This club is more like a family. This has been recently been proven when the club moved to a new dedicated premises and parents and instructors alike all mucked in and created a brilliant training space for all. I would wholeheartedly recommend this club to anyone thinking of starting TKD for the first time or old hands returning to the sport. All are made welcome and made to feel like a valued and integral part of the club.
Of all the reviews on here there is only one (wrong)negative one. I think this speaks volumes to the character and integrity of the training and support team at this great club.

I brought my child here briefly under a different instructor who was great, but since it has changed hands I will not be sending my child back. I found instructors to be rude and show preferential treatment towards particular students over others, which was really disheartening for my child. Instructors are also quite clicky with particular parents which makes the atmosphere spectating quite uncomfortable.

I've been training at the club a while now, instructors are Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and well organised. I most enjoy all the events that are put on through the year, everything from comps to camping trips to nights out. Everyone is made to feel welcome, there is a good team atmosphere at the club and in my case, the senior class are great bunch.

Everyone is really caring and helpful with the children and take great care to provide a safe environment for the students.
Part 3
All of our children are special and the information we subject them to has a lasting effect, especially on social media. Problems may arise which are out of our control yet, if it’s is not! Speak to the person directly and mediate your differences for the benefit of the children progressing on the way of Taekwondo. A disagreement with one person, adult to adult should not tarnish the club or instructors as a whole.
If you really want to make a difference to your child in Taekwondo, get enrolled and start wearing a dobok. It takes Confidence to stand in front of a group, it takes Manner to get the message across to the students, it takes a positive mental Attitude to be an instructor, it takes Diligence to persistently exert the body and mind to achieve results and Enthusiasm to do what is right.
I am proud to call myself a student of The Mount Taekwondo.
