The school is built on the foundations set by Taira Shinken Sensei and past onto Eisuke Akamine Dai Sensei. Today led by Kaicho Akamine Hiroshi.

Shorinryu Karate - (Shaolin foundations) -speed, relaxation, tanden power, koshi, kime

Ryukyu Kobudo - Traditional weaponry system of Okinawa (tekko-nunchaku-bo-sai-tonfa, kama, tinbe, eku).

Self-defence taught as part of syylabus

Shorinryu Karate & Ryukyu Kobudo at Cheltenham Ladies College

Tuesday: Karate & Kobudo 19.30-21.30 (Juniors and Seniors)
Thursday Karate & Kobudo 18.30-20.30 (Juniors and Seniors)

Training incorporates the applications of the 'kata' as they hold the techniques for self-defence. Ko-teki-te for conditioning of the body to make you internally and externally confident and strong.
