My son attends this class and is now studying for his brown belt. He's been here for almost 4 years and really enjoys it. Sensei Steve and Sensei Roy have taught him so much, and not just stances and moves - they've taught him discipline, respect, self worth, self defence . .... and so many other qualities.
Everyone is made to feel welcome and every student is allowed to train at their own pace.
After an awful start at a different class, it could have put my son off for life, but these guys are amazing - Simply the Best!! I feel honoured that my son trains under them.
If you're umming and ahhing about joining, whether it be yourself or your child, please don't hesitate, you won't regret it.

Just short of 3 years i have been attending, love every minute of it.
Lots of new starters lately which is great to see, Grandads, dads, kids all mixing in a safe environment.

I've been attending this karate school since I was six years old, I'm now 18 and I still go every week!
Sensei Steve and Sensei Roy are great teachers and they put 100% into teaching everyone who walks through the door!
We are a big family, with some of our kids having had some experience in Shotokan karate. We, as parents have always enjoyed watching them grow in skills and experience. Having recently moved to the Parbold area, we visited Parbold Goju-ryu Karate Club.
After the third lesson for our kids with previous karate experience, we had enough of watching them have fun, we wanted to join in too!
Don't misunderstand me, it is proper trainig and as hardcore as any, but the comeradeship, mutual respect and family-atmosphere make Parbold Karate Club such a great place to train, learn and develop! From warm up to basic exercises to katas to 1-2-1 practice, bunkai and punching & kicking skills to self defence, it is a lot of training each time in that hour and half. We all buzz throughout and even an hour after having walked home from the session, keen to carry on practising the newly learned techniques daily!
Senseis Steve and Ray are very knowledgeable and patient, at the same time they both have a wicked sense of humor, and albeit they make you sweat and work hard, you will have a good time.
All ages and skill levels train together, which suits our family well and we feel at ease as all ages are represented at the dojo.
