Shotokan Karate is a traditional martial art which requires a great deal of discipline and commitment. Perth Shotokan Karate Academy is dedicated to the teaching and promotion of traditional Shotokan Karate to the highest standards.
Perth were the first Scottish club to affiliate to S.K.I.G.B. They made their first application in 1977 and Sensei Kobara came to Perth in November of that year paving the way for Hanshi Asano who came in April 1978 and has returned on a regular basis ever since
P.S.K.A receive regular courses and gradings with Hanshi Asano 9th Dan (European Chief Instructor) and the club attends the S.K.I.G.B national championships held in Nottingham each April and August.
Perth Shotokan Karate Academy Instructors have over 50 years experience between them and are current members of the S.K.I.G.B British Team.
