We wanted Alfie & Emily to join a club that taught them self defence as well as be confident and proud of their achievements. Master Coles was extremely welcoming and allowed us to try a few lessons before committing each week. He took the time to learn each child’s name and was ready with a smile on his face. From the very beginning both Alfie & Emily loved the liveliness of the class. They thoroughly enjoy learning the different moves and progressing through the belts. Each week we attend as a family and learn something new. They have loved learning about stranger danger and have become quite confident at blocking the adult when needed! They even built up enough confidence to share their achievements at school in an assembly. We appreciate all the help given from Master Coles and are very proud of Alfie & Emily’s achievements and look forward to seeing them progress even further.

I first looked in to Qi Kwan do as I wanted to help Theo build his confidence. The first few weeks were quite tough as he didn't really want to join in because he was quite shy and reserved or 'scared' as he put it. But master Coles stuck with it, week after week, gently encouraging him to join in and one day out of nowhere he was off and never looked back.

Theo has been going to Qi Kwan do now for around 18 months and he loves it - he is like a different child. The classes are fun and engaging but have the right balance teaching a lot about discipline, respect, self defence and Theo's favourite 'stranger danger'. He even stands up in in assembly at school to show off his belts and certificates when he passes grading and tell everyone about what he has learnt and how hard he has worked, which may not seem like a big thing for many, but is amazing progress for Theo considering he was a child who was so shy he wouldn't even put his hand up to answer a question!

Qi Kwan do has definitely helped to bring Theo out of his shell and I would highly recommend the classes to any parent who find themselves in a similar situation.

Oliver originally wanted to be a 'ninja' after watching a kids tv programme. We thought we would try Qi Kwan Do as we had read about the origin and methods on the website. We were impressed by the fact it teaches children about 'stranger danger' issues as well as the martial art itself.

My son, Oliver has learnt so much in the last 2 years as he is now a 'brown belt' Little Dragon! He loves the fun element that Master Coles brings to the class as well as the disciplined moves he learns as part of Master Coles's teaching method.

I would highly recommend Qi Kwan Do to everyone with children as I have learnt so much too just by being a part of Olivers 'ninja' world! I am confident now that Oliver will grow up with the knowledge of discipline, respect and most importantly self defence tactics.
