The teachers here are fantastic, they have all the time in the world for you, I have a 8yr old & a 15yr that attend classes here, they teach the kids like their adults but also are able to come down to the childs age group and can be just as silly as them BUT when it comes to doing work these guys get the best out of her. My 15yr old has grown with confidence with this club, she was such a shy girl & had no confidence to talk to anyone, again they have proved to be a great club as they have brought her out of her shell and throws they boy's in the club around & actually goes out with friends which she never did before. in short a great Club thank you.
I started training at this dojo some time ago and at the time it was a great club. However, I ended up leaving after 2 years due to some of the remarks made by the owner of the club. He had just got his 5th dan and claimed that he was now 'too high a grade to teach kyu grades’ although he has now resumed teaching . On top of that did not have a problem at swearing at anyone in the club, even young kids.
Ever since the club has just spiralled, getting worse and worse.
The Owner of the club has self-promoted himself which makes his belt unrecognised by any other governing body apart from his own club as well as doing this with other black belts

To put this in perspective He is now a 7th Dan and he only got his 5th dan 2 years ago. He has skipped 11 years’ worth of training.
If this was done with a kyu grade them may have their belt rejected by other clubs as their belt will not be legitimate. Basically, restricting students to only this club.
The fact that all their black belts are 3rd dan and above does not show they are a good school, but in fact that not a single student has gotten a black belt with them in 3 years.
However, my main problem and the main reason I left was the fact that this club was not engaging, it was repetitive and restrictive.
I have since stopped training due to my bad experiences at this club.
(P. S. They have given out a black belt in sport karate which is not a recognised style but a way of training which just shows the lack of knowledge)
