Sifu Robert Ley is by far one of the greatest individuals I have ever met, he's not only my teacher but also a close friend and puts everything into his wing chun and the academy.

I came from a boxing background before I got into wing chun and after one session with sifu Rob I was definitely hooked, I couldn't believe the efficiency and the power he was showing me I felt truly welcome straight away, I now have travelled all over with him including Hong Kong! fighting and winning events.

Forget the ego's and the money that unfortunately cripples the martial art world and want to get down to the nitty gritty and learn from a real master then Rob Ley Academy is the place!

Sifu Ley is as good as it gets

I've been training with Rob for nearly 3 years now and despite training in all sorts of martial art styles in the past, I can confidently say I have never met such an effective & knowledgeable instructor before. The small classes makes every lesson meaningful, I've had karate lessons before where you don't even get looked at by the sensei, let alone instructed on a one to one level.

Rob is no part time instructor, he trains and teaches every day. He's truly passionate about Wing Chun always encouraging questions to be asked and will always explain it on a level that each student can understand. Quite frankly if Rob decided to change to Tai Chi, I'd probably still choose to train under him, that's the calibre of teaching he brings to his school.

Wing Chun is a fascinating system governed by some simple mechanical principles and laws of physics. Developing an understanding for its structure really appeals to the engineer in me.
