The children very much enjoy their lessons, some classes are excellent. Students are encouraged to take part and good care and consideration is shown to new students. Weakness are often corrected quickly and with due consideration for age and ability.

My daughter has been training here for about 4 months and she loves it.

There is always a 'feel good atmosphere' here. People train a with a smile on their faces and Dean instructs with a smile on his. He is fantastic with the children he trains and always has time for their parents too. He's really passionate about what he does; you really couldn't ask for more enthusiastic and friendly tuition.

If you are looking for martial arts training either for yourself or your children I honestly wouldn't look any further than here!

A great place to Learn Martial Arts

My 9 year old daughter has been going to the Malton Dojo for almost a year now and really loves going. I have watched Dean and Honor take this Dojo from strength to strength and feel honoured to be part of this family. It truly has a family feel and very welcoming. The classes are structured and not only will your child learn the techniques of Martial Arts but they will learn Respect, self-discipline and their confidence will grow week on week. Dean is excellent at teaching the kids, they are all at different levels and all very different personalities. He is firm but fair and they all respect him greatly. The lessons learnt on the mats also stretch to school and home life. If you or your children are thinking of starting MMA, I would highly recommend this club.

Since joining classes with Dean Harker at Malton, my son who is 12 has grown in confidence so much. I can't believe the difference in him since the beginning. He has been learning whilst enjoying himself having fun but with respect for the whole jujitsu ethos. My younger daughter has just joined also and thoroughly enjoying it.

Lovely atmosphere every time. I definitely recommend Dean and this school to any one.

I have been training with Dean and Honor for about 6 months now and am loving it. Having done Martial Arts on and off most of my life, I can say that this is the most community spirited family of students I have had the pleasure of meeting. The effort that goes into this club is amazing and you can see how much everyone enjoys being there, from the smallest to us big uns! Would recommend to those interested for themselves and for parents. This is a place where you learn respect and gain confidence and best of all have a great time doing it.

Sensei Dean and Honor are a fantastic team and offer high quality classes - my 6yr old has been going for some months now and loves it - it is well organised so the children know what is expected of them - they learn about respect and integrity as well as the technical side if Ju Jits. It is like one large family - the children have so much fun and it always amazes me how smoothly it all runs with alsorts of mixed personalities within 10-11 young children in one class! I would recommend everyone to give it a go

My kids love it, I love it

This is a fantastic doj. Sensei Dean is the most amiable, enthusiastic and knowledgeable bad ass you'll ever meet. There's a great 'feel' to Rokku Ryu too with social events like BBQ's and Christmas meals and Dean constantly running enthusiastic students to martial event. There are no prerequisite levels of fitness or experience, just turn up and have a great time.
