Ryoshin Nihon Jujutsu is the culmination of 40 years training in a range of Japanese martial arts at the highest level. Founder Tony Carrick has built an impressive CV during his martial arts career that also includes 30 years working in the security industry.
Ryoshin Nihon Jujutsu is not a sport or competition based. Students’ work in pairs to practice the techniques, taking it in turns to attack one another in a variety of ways from simple wrist/arm grabs, punches/kicks to bear hugs and neck holds. Defending against these attacks may take the form of Atemi (striking/distraction/blocking) Low kicking, Joint locking, Throwing/ground-fighting and Escaping techniques.
The training syllabus has been designed to allow students with no previous martial arts experience to attain the necessary movement, flexibility and strength required at each grading level. Students are able to learn at their own pace in a safe and friendly environment training with experienced Jujutsu instructors.
