Both of my children attended this school growing up and they loved it and have a lot of memories. They benefited from the social side and also from being able to do exercise and not stay indoors all the time! The instructor is great and never pressured us that if we didn’t pay on time (though we always did) that we wouldn’t be part of the club, he is all about making it almost a second family and being forgiving to others especially in financial situations. Thanks a lot to the instructor and his club
I was nervous but so glad I joined Scotia Freestyle.

I was quite nervous to join a Freestyle Martial Arts Academy, and I am so pleased I took the leap. Andy is amazing and totally puts me at ease. I joined to get more confidence and I couldn't wish for a better instructor. He is patient and calm and I have leaned how to be a technical fighter, gained confidence as a girl and couldn't recommend Andy at Scotia Freestyle Martial Arts Academy enough. All are welcome.

This is not your average club, I’ve been to plenty and all they teach you is a watered down version of what martial arts actually use to be. The instructor here is fantastic and takes this art very seriously, I have learnt a great deal on actually being able to defend myself and I am incredibly thankful because now I have the confidence to have a night out and handle situations accordingly and with the discipline to not act further than is needed. If you are the type of person who wants to get into a sport like UFC this club engages in competitions that will ultimately serve useful to your arsenal and record and is perfect for any aspirations or even those who want get a sense of security in their life’s and have fun
Been to many clubs, this one tops them all

I trained at this club when they were based near Birmingham. It was sad to see the instructor leave for Scotland. We trained hard, it was great for fitness and for competing. The Instructor Andy taught us different style which really worked as most of us wanted to compete but we also wanted a formal syllabus.
We had some issues locally as Taekwon-do was very popular in the area. A couple of clubs tried bullying the instructor to not teach TKD, but Andy resisted and kept going. He didn't charge us much, just enough to pay the bills. There was one family with 10 kids, they didn't have much, Andy wouldn't charge them as he said he would rather they had something positive in their lives. A real gentleman and pioneer for the sport.
Scotlia Martial Arts teaches traditional techniques in a friendly, nuturing environment. Head instructor Andy has a multi disciplined background and has hones his skills through discipline and hard work. This is clear to see from his passion and dedication.
Whatever your ability or fitness level Andy will cater your development to suit your needs.
Highly recommended club you will struggle to beat.
