Its very good for physical endurance. Kicking power you get is from another planet. mind you I broke my leg there but it happens. I would still go there but its just way too far 12miles away. but its great if you persist

I started training around a year ago at Shaolin Temple academy doing both Gong Fu and San Da. Before I started I was a heavy smoker and couldn't run around the block. I can now do 5k in around 30 minutes. . . which is good for me! The training and discipline is hard and yeah, as some reviews have said, there's repetition but I've come to understand its importance. Shifu is obviously a master in what he does and I can't fault his teaching with an eye for perfecting even the smallest detail in your movements. As well as the health benefits my work rate and focus is through the roof and I would definitely put it down to the discipline of the training. It takes me a while to come out of my shell with people but I feel very comfortable around everyone and it's a completely ego free club. Both Rachelle and Shifu are very approachable and willing to help and chat. They are also completely committed to STA. Do not attend if you want an easy ride you will be pushed hard especially in the San Da training but the feeling you get after pushing through is amazing. Please note the other reviews seem to be from over protective mothers who have managed to find a few seconds between getting their nails done to be disrespectful. . . maybe they could do with a little beating with a stick (which does not happen ever!)

The worst place for martial arts.please do not send your children to shaolin temple academy unless you don't mind your children being beat with sticks, and left to cry.

The Teacher seems a nice guy, although the fat Chinese lady at reception is very rude.she wanted the money straight away which is a bad sign.so for that reason i did not join.
This school is a proper martial arts school. I have bought my children to other clubs and have been given false awards of belts when my son cannot obviously do the next stages. This school is not pretentious, they are strict, discipline and the best that is why they are winning and always performing and competing.
There is no beating with sticks like the other reviews (some people love to exaggerate). Yes a very disciplined in environment but this school is not for everyone. If you want a fake black belt, then this is not the club for you. You have to actually earn your belts here and also learn to be a good martial artist.
