Karate is an empty hand form of self defence.
By continuous training students learn to master the basic techniques, blocking, punching, strikes, and kicks.
In traditional Karate the emphasis is on physical and mental conditioning.
Students follow a code to respect others; karate starts and ends with a bow. Perseverance and discipline are required for maximum effort during classes; techniques are repeated to achieve perfect form, speed, strength and effectiveness.
Students achieve a higher level of fitness as they progress through 10 Kyu’sKYU’s (levels) before black belt.
Student will develop strength, flexibility, balance and confidence and a better ability for self-defence.
Students are encouraged to arrive early and follow a short warm up before the start of the official class.
After class, or at home, students work on improving any difficult techniques for a few minutes each day
Classes consist of:

KATA- forms are practised that help students to be constantly challenged and improve their karate
Class ends with stretching and breathing exercises to cool down and relax.
