Started in my mid 50's and never looked back! A no frills martial art taught in a egoless manner. Don't worry about having to do high kicks and breaking bricks as this is a no nonsense to the point art! All welcome.

The Somerset Club and its members have been amazing in welcoming my son and really supportive in developing his skills. Really flexible and friendly approach. Seeing his confidence build has been great.

Fantastic Wing Chun instruction from instructors with a real depth of understanding in this amazing martial art. A very friendly club with a relaxed atmosphere where everyone seems happy to help you learn. Classes also never lose sight of the real world applications of Wing Chun. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I have tried other martial arts in the past but this has been by far my best experience. The group are friendly and the martial art is actually useful in real life situations. Classes are inclusive and attitude free whilst the teaching itself is well delivered and at a pace that suits the student. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone wanting to learn a martial art for real-life self defence.

I've only been with the club a little over a year. I've found the Instruction to be first class. There are no egos and all students are more than happy to help without frustration. Truly relaxed and friendly atmosphere. With regular seminars and workshops, there's always something new to learn and new people to meet.

This is one of the best classes in the area. The Wing Chun taught is of an extremely high quality, and the class itself is friendly and welcoming, regardless of whether it's your first night or you have more experience. The system itself is very practical and is geared toward real-world applications.

Bill Mckay is a first rate teacher with many years experience of Wing Chun, He teaches in a practical and methodical way and can always demonstrate the applications with great skill.

There is little to nothing he does not know about this art and even after training with the masters at various seminars I have never felt they could teach anything Sifu Mckay has not already taught . Highly recommended.

Really good club with informed instructers. Nice that there isn't much ceramoney or hierarchy. .Just like minded, respectful people sharing and learning some practical skills together.
