South Manchester Aikido
Aikido is a self-defence martial art that enables you to use your attacker's weight and momentum to disable or throw them. Aikido practice can benefit everyone, men and woman, young and old, so physical fitness and strength are not required to start practicing.
South Manchester Aikido Club teaches the non-competitive "Traditional" form of Aikido and you will learn in a friendly, safe environment, practising with other students with the aim of helping one another improve.
South Manchester Aikido Club is a member of the British Birankai, which is one of only 5 organisations in the UK that is recognised internationally by Hombu Dojo, the Aikido headquarters in Japan. Programs & Class Schedule
The Club practises in Sale (Sale Scout Hut, Woodbourne Road, Sale, M33 3TQ) on Thursday evenings between 7.45pm and 9.45pm.
The Club also practises in Irlam at Irlam & Cadishead College (Station Road, Irlam, Manchester, M44 5ZR, car park and entrance found on MacDonald Road) on a Tuesday evening between 6.00 pm and 8.00pm.
Unfortunately minimum age is 17.
