Having moved to hawkinge from the midlands my son tried this club three times, what a let down . He was bossed around by a young girl called frankie who had very little experience and was also rude. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLUB TO MY WORST ENEMY

This club is the best around our area. The Sensais are genuinely interested in your progress and any competitions you have entered even if it was for another club! Great training and great fight nights

Ive been taking my children to judo clubs for many years and can honestly say you wont get better than this club. The Sensais have so much experience and are truly committed to supporting and encouraging the students in every way. The best part is they don't take themselves too seriously which is where so many other clubs go wrong with far too much club politics! Very highly recommended.

Sombo overtakes judo (look up martin clark combat sombo)

This was once a good judo club that was well structured and good for all ages. However since the retirement of Colin O this club has lost many judoka. There are no proper competitions as very few people now belong to IBF. I suggest you join a BJA club where the money goes to judo and not sombo. The BJA is also costs a lot less to join and train, although you will have to travel further you will reap the rewards.

I came back to Judo after a long period off (18 years). So already had a good grounding which was taken into consideration so was not treated as a complete novice, which was great I got stuck straight in.
I have been introduced to Sombo wrestling which I thoroughly enjoy and to part in British trials for the sport last year where I got a bronze after being back a matter of months.
I have seen many people come to the club at different levels and the patience and instruction from the Sensei's is second to none. I would highly recommend Spitfire to anyone that wants to partake in Judo or Grappling sports, either as a novice, someone who wants to get back into the sport or a striking mma fighter who wants to improve their grappling techniques. All will be welcomed and made to feel at home.

I have been training at the Judo Club in Capel Le Ferne for the last 12 Months. I have graded to Green Belt and my Fitness levels have really improved.
The Mixed style of Judo, Sombo & Grappling is a great variation for me as I like the MMA style of training rather than the traditional style of Judo alone.
Our son was made very welcome by the instructors, children and their parents. Ryan and Kerri are both engaging and informative with their sessions and are keen to ensure the children enjoy the training whilst giving a great base knowledge of the sport. I not only commend but also recommend the Spitfire Judo Club to all who wish to join.
