Sunderland Karate Central
Welcome to Sunderland Karate School of Excellence. Whether you are an instructor or a student it is our hope that all of your goals are achieved while training with us. We train in Traditional karate and highest quality sport karate.
The club was established in 2004 by Chief Instructor Mark Williams 5th Dan, and is based in the North East of England.
All our instructors are certified and have First Aid (HSE) qualifications, are fully insured and DBS police checked. We have in place a Health and Safety Policy and a Child Protection Policy which we are very strict on. These policies are available to read at every lesson.

BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME AT ALL OUR CLASSES
The minimum starting age is 5 yrs. There is no maximum starting age.
Initially, you can wear loose comfortable clothing, such as a top and track suit bottoms. Eventually you will need a Gi (karate suit) which can be purchased through the club.
The training fee is £3.50 per lesson, payable to the Club Secretary or his/her deputy prior to commencement of the class.
Private lessons are available for those who wish for additional training.
We hold regular grading every 3 months for colour belts
All instructors are experienced Black Belts and have full C.R.B. (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosures as part of our commitment to Child Protection.
